The Language Centre is accredited for the nationally recognised UNIcert® in the following languages: Chinese, English, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, Swedish, and Spanish

UNIcert® is a training, accreditation and certification system for the higher education sector.

Information about the UNIcert® course

General information:

The level of language proficiency required for taking part in the course must be proven in a language test.

It is possible to join a course at a later stage following a language test; however, at least half of the course content must be completed at the Language Centre.

Only persons who have attended at least 75 % of the course classes will be granted admission to the UNIcert® examinations - this applies to all levels.

 

UNIcert® Basis (corresponds to level A2 of the CEFR):

Scope of training: 8-12 SWS (120 to 180 contact hours / 300 to 450 hours workload); prerequisites: no previous knowledge required

Examination disciplines: Speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, test of vocabulary and structural knowledge

The examination can be held as an accumulation of individual components or as an overall examination at the end of the course.

 

UNIcert® I (corresponds to level B1 of the CEFR):

Scope of training: 8 SWS (120 contact hours / 300 hours workload); prerequisites: knowledge that is equivalent to UNIcert® Basis

Examination disciplines: Speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, test of vocabulary and structural knowledge

The examination can be held as an accumulation of individual components or as an overall examination at the end of the course.

 

UNIcert® II (corresponds to level B2 of the CEFR):

Scope of training: 8 SWS (120 contact hours / 300 hours workload); prerequisites: knowledge that is equivalent to UNIcert® I

Examination disciplines: Speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, test of vocabulary and structural knowledge

The examination can be held as an accumulation of individual components or as an overall examination at the end of the course.

 

UNIcert® III (corresponds to level C1 of the CEFR):

Scope of training: 8 SWS (120 contact hours / 300 hours workload); prerequisites: knowledge that is equivalent to UNIcert® II

Examination disciplines: Speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing.

The examination is held as an overall examination at the end of the course.
